Questa tesi esplora l’uso di fibre naturali, in particolare la fibra di foglie d’ananas (PALF), in combinazione con il materiale d’anima acido polilattico (PLA), per creare materiali compositi con proprietà meccaniche migliorate. Lo studio impiega la tecnologia di stampa 3D, in particolare la Fusion Deposition Modeling (FDM), per creare piastre d’anima con vari modelli (triangolari, a griglia e a nido d’ape). Le piastre sono poi stratificate con stuoie PALF e legate insieme con una resina. Il biochar di Luffa viene aggiunto come materiale di riempimento per migliorare le proprietà meccaniche. I campioni fabbricati sono sottoposti a varie valutazioni sperimentali, tra cui prove di flessione, impatto, trazione, durezza, assorbimento d’acqua e usura. Vengono inoltre condotte analisi al microscopio elettronico a scansione (SEM) per studiare l’adesione fibra-matrice. L’obiettivo è creare strutture leggere con un’elevata precisione dimensionale e costi di produzione ridotti.
