Since 1990, technological and geopolitical changes have multiplied the threats to global security. Cameroon offers a striking illustration, caught between the Anglophone crisis, terrorism and cross-border crime. The Far North region, for its part, faces major security challenges, including attacks by highway robbers, political violence, various assaults, cybercrime, kidnappings for ransom and terrorist threats. This book examines the evolution of insecurity, the actors involved and the nature of the means deployed by the State to preserve stability. Through a structured analysis, it sheds light on the complex dynamics of contemporary insecurity and the major challenges facing the Far North region.
