El primer Imperio (1821-1823) es uno de los periodos más controvertidos de la historia de México. Las culturas políticas del primer Imperio Mexicano (1821-1823) aborda la cuestión de cuáles fueron los cambios y transformaciones que se dieron en ese primer periodo imperial, en lugar de entenderlo únicamente como una transición entre dos sistemas políticos diferentes. Coincidiendo con un repunte de publicaciones sobre el periodo de las independencias americanas a raíz de la celebración de su Bicentenario, este libro analiza las culturas políticas del primer proyecto propiamente mexicano de monarquía constitucional.
