O programa Generation Skillz foi implementado entre 2010 e 2012. O objetivo do programa era permitir que os jovens com idades compreendidas entre os 15 e os 19 anos tomassem decisões informadas e responsáveis sobre a sua saúde sexual e reprodutiva, reduzindo o risco de infeção pelo VIH e sendo devidamente apoiados pelas suas comunidades. O objetivo do projeto era melhorar os meios de subsistência e tomar decisões informadas sobre a saúde sexual e reprodutiva que conduzissem a vidas saudáveis e participar ativamente nos processos de tomada de decisões sobre questões que afectam as suas vidas. O programa foi avaliado em função de cinco grandes temas: relevância, eficácia, eficiência, impacto e sustentabilidade. Para o efeito, a avaliação adoptou uma conceção de estudo transversal, utilizando métodos de recolha de dados qualitativos e quantitativos para medir os resultados e os impactos do programa. A adequação do programa foi visivelmente observada através da seleção dos beneficiários do programa. O programa foi considerado eficaz na facilitação da disponibilidade e no aumento do acesso à informação e aos serviços de SSR, VIH e SIDA, aumentando a sensibilização e o conhecimento da informação sobre SSR, VIH e SIDA.
