Diese Untersuchung ist qualitativ angelegt. Es gibt zwei Instrumente, die der Forscher in dieser qualitativen Forschung verwendet. Das erste Instrument sind die wöchentlichen Übersetzungsaufgaben der Studenten. Das zweite sind zehn Fragen eines kurzen Leitfadeninterviews in Form von Mehrfachauswahlmöglichkeiten zum Thema Übersetzung. Aus dieser Untersuchung lassen sich zwei Ergebnisse ableiten. Die erste Erkenntnis ist, dass die drei Übersetzungsstrategien beim Unterrichten von Übersetzungen anhand von Texten von Rocksongs anwendbar sind. Die zweite Erkenntnis ist, dass die drei Übersetzungsstrategien verwendet werden können, um Studenten der Englischabteilung der UHAMKA zu helfen, Texte von Rocksongs ins Indonesische zu übersetzen. Die Schlussfolgerung dieser Untersuchung ist, dass die Verwendung der drei Übersetzungsstrategien beim Unterrichten der Übersetzung von Rocksongtexten für Studenten der Englischabteilung der UHAMKA gute Ergebnisse zeigt.
