Esta investigação foi concebida de forma qualitativa. São dois os instrumentos utilizados pelo investigador nesta investigação qualitativa. O primeiro instrumento são os trabalhos de tradução semanais dos alunos. E o segundo é constituído por dez perguntas de uma curta entrevista guiada sob a forma de escolhas múltiplas sobre tradução. Por conseguinte, há duas conclusões obtidas com esta investigação. A primeira é que as três estratégias de tradução são aplicáveis no ensino da tradução utilizando letras de canções rock. A segunda conclusão é que as três estratégias de tradução podem ser utilizadas para ajudar os alunos do Departamento de Inglês da UHAMKA a traduzir letras de canções rock para indonésio. A conclusão desta investigação é que a utilização das três estratégias de tradução no ensino da tradução de letras de canções de rock a alunos do Departamento de Inglês da UHAMKA expôs bons resultados.
