Organisationen, die über zugängliche Anwendungen und Websites für mobile Geräte verfügen, verschaffen sich einen Wettbewerbsvorteil gegenüber ihren Konkurrenten und sind zudem sozial verantwortlich. Das Ziel dieses Buches ist es, Inspektionen von kommerziellen mobilen Anwendungen und Websites in Brasilien durchzuführen. Für diese Aufgabe wird eine angepasste Version der Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 verwendet. Die Studie erörtert die Effizienz von Bildschirmlese-Tools für iOS- und Android-Betriebssysteme, den Grad der Konformität dieser Anwendungen und kommerziellen Webseiten in Brasilien sowie die Anpassungen, die in den WCAG 2.0 verwendet werden, um sie an den Kontext von Mobilgeräten anzupassen. Es wird auch vorgeschlagen, dass Studien mit Menschen mit Behinderungen durchgeführt werden, um die Hauptprobleme, die diese Nutzer betreffen, effizienter zu analysieren und so eine empirische Grundlage für die Erstellung einer Reihe von Empfehlungen für gute Programmierpraktiken zu schaffen.
