Wie können Kinder und Eltern im Übergang von der Kita in die Grundschule positiv begleitet werden? Mit dieser und weiteren Herausforderungen beschäftigen sich Elementar- und Primarpädagogen in ihrer Berufspraxis. Die Zusammenarbeit zwischen den beiden Bildungsinstitutionen hat hierbei einen entscheidenden Einfluss auf einen gelingenden Übergang. Entsprechend bedeutsam ist eine entsprechende theoretische und praktische Auseinandersetzung mit übergangsrelevanten Inhalten im Laufe der Ausbildung bzw. des Studiums. Die AutorInnen gehen im Rahmen einer deutschlandweiten qualitativen und quantitativen Studie der Frage nach, inwiefern der Übergang in den Qualifikationswegen von ErzieherInnen, GrundschullehrerInnen und KindheitspädagogInnen verankert ist. Zusätzlich zu einer aktuellen Bestandsaufnahme werden zukunftsweisende Handlungsempfehlungen genannt und modellhafte Studienkonzepte vorgestellt, die den Übergang intensiv innerhalb der Lehre einbinden.
