Der erste Abschnitt dieses Buchs enthalt Versuche fiber Atmung und Garung, der zweite Versuche fiber Kohlensaureassimilation und Nitrat­ assimilation. Beide Abschnitte sind durch 'Obersichten eingeleitet. Der dritte Abschnitt solI zeigen, daB die katalytischen Wirkungen der lebendigen Substanz auch fiir die Medizin wichtig sind. Versuche fiber die katalytischen Wirkungen wachsender Zellen sind hier zusammen­ gefaBt. Der vierte Abschnitt ist eine Bibliographie. Man findet hier die Titel der Arbeiten, die von mir und meinen Mitarbeitern fiber die kata­ lytischen Wirkungen der lebendigen Substanz veroffentlicht worden sind. Das vorliegende Buch wird erganzt durch den 'Stoffwechsel der Tumoren'l, ein methodisches Buch, in dem beschrieben wird, wie man die katalytischen Wirkungen der lebendigen Substanz untersuchen und messen kann. - Die Korrekturen hat Herr Dr. H.
