Food is defined as a solid substance whose mission is essentially to satisfy hunger and contribute to nutrition in order to survive. However, food is part of social coexistence and of the characteristics and customs of a population. In other words, a good meal reflects the state of health, the development environment and finally the assimilation of nutrients. They say that 'love is born in the stomach, and dies in the heart, rarely passing through the head' and Guerrero is an example of a region where the affection of its people is represented in a good dish, appetizing to the palate and other senses. Guerrero is a state of diversity represented by 7 regions with different customs and traditions. The northern region or zone has a mostly warm climate where a variety of products are harvested that exemplify the richness of Guerrero’s food. The intention of this book is to provide a healthy guide with a variety of products that can be found within the region to support the preparation of food without affecting its nutritional contribution.
