The Cleveland Museum of Art has a wondrous collection of over 310 Japanese sword-guards or ’Tsuba’. Most were gifted to the museum from the D. Z. Norton collection with other examples purchased or coming from other donors. This book is designed to show off these artistic works in metal and hopefully add information for the reader, with some asides into the design world used by the artists who made them.
