It includes, also, brief glimpses of life in Denmark, Sweden, Hungary and England. The journals exphasize the lives of people whom he met, not the usual descriptions of statues, monuments and museums. The book is the story of one man’s attempt to find meaning for his life as he seeks to learn how other people live out their lives in far-away places.
