Das Buch enthält auch Abhandlungen über die Spannungsverteilung in faserverstärkten und fadengewickelten Verbundstoffbehältern. Die Anwendung der Finite-Elemente-Methode bei der Lösung von Problemen im Zusammenhang mit thermischen und thermomechanischen Spannungen wird in diesem Buch diskutiert. Die Temperaturverteilung im stationären und instationären Zustand wird ebenfalls untersucht. Die Untersuchung der thermoelastischen Spannungen in Druckbehältern findet breite Anwendung in der Konstruktion moderner technischer Strukturen.
