Die Autorin zeigt in einer systematischen Literaturrecherche, dass keine wissenschaftliche Studie existiert, die unter Einbezug der Pflegepraxis folgende Fragen untersucht: Welche Handlungen führen Pflege(fach)kräfte in der neurologischen (Früh-)Rehabilitation durch? Wie führen sie diese Handlungen durch? Was ist das Therapeutische an diesen Pflegehandlungen? Beobachtungen der Pflegepraxis zeigen starke Differenzen in Bezug auf die Durchführung von speziellen Pflegehandlungen auf. Im Rahmen des G-DRG-Systems wurden innerhalb der Leistungsabrechnung Kataloge konzipiert, die Pflegehandlungen auflisten, aber nicht definieren, was therapeutische Pflege ist.
