Starting from the era, environment, and the people around him-including family and friends-it narrates his life and deeds objectively and justly, striving to demystify Lu Xun and restore the image of a flesh-and-blood, authentic individual. The narrative unfolds along two intertwined threads: the main thread traces Lu Xun’s personal growth, the formation of his character and thoughts, and his literary creations, while the secondary thread follows the life experiences of Madame Zhu An, whose story has been overshadowed by Lu Xun and history. Through the interweaving of these two threads, the book reconstructs Lu Xun’s life and thoughts from multiple perspectives and levels.
