Grace Livingston Hill was an early 20th century Christian Romance novelist. She is credited with having written hundreds of short stories and novels. Her strong female characters were either solid Christian women or women who became Christian during the course of the story. Hill’s message was always the same: good verses evil. The Search is a charming romance. Ruth MacDoanld is the heroine of the story. She is a rich young self-centered girl. One day she sees a childhood friend going off to war and she begins to see things more clearly. John Cameron goes off to WWI and begins a correspondence with Ruth, but the letters were too few and stopped too soon. Would they find their way back to each other?
