The Original Dickens Illustrations brings together for the first time all of the original illustrations commissioned by Charles Dickens and his Publishers in England during Dickens’s lifetime. The illustrations are reproduced at their original size, taken directly from prints made from the original steel plates and woodcuts. Volume 1 contains 473 illustrations and covers the years 1836 - 1841.
