This study analyzes the structure of the conference interpreting market in the Republic of the Congo in order to assess its operations, challenges, and prospects for professionalization. Based on a survey of interpreters, agencies, organizations, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it highlights the sector’s lack of structure. The results underscore the need to establish a professional association, adopt a code of ethics, strengthen language regulations, and develop specialized training for interpreters.
