The Lily of the Valley is a book of inspirational Christian poetry, short stories, devotionals, and commentaries. It’s written with a desire to encourage the downhearted, lift the spirits of those who are weary, and perhaps point the way back to the Savior for those who might have lost their way. The purpose of this book is to hopefully glorify my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and my Father God by ministering to people. It is written from my heart to your heart and my prayer is that after you read a poem or a story you will feel that it’s been a blessing. As I wrote each of the poems and stories contained in this book, I felt that the Lord Himself was ministering to me. I also felt He was giving me the words to put down on paper (for me to reread and others to read) to remind me in years to come of the many blessings He has given me. And that regardless of the circumstances I might have been going through, He has always been there for me. And He will be there for you too.I have written The Lily of the Valley with the attitude of heart that the Lord is the author and I’m merely the pen. May the Lord bless you as you read this book and always as you seek to serve Him.Carolyn May
