She has been a visiting lecturer in many countries, from the Middle East to Singapore, Pakistan, throughout Europe, and in America and Canada. Her first book came out in 1977, and she now has a list of some 40 books, mainly on Islamic subjects, although she has continued to write novels and poetry.
