If, in human history, God was 'almighty' and was in more than one place at the same time, and knew all things, the evolution of media society now implies that these faculties have also become attributes of the internet. With the advancement of technology, to remain on the sidelines of all that is new would be to fall into oblivion. We see, on the part of many Christian groups, an attempt to subject the imaginary universe to the ambience of a post-industrial society that provides the notion of community with a very different character than that which preceded it, especially if we consider that today being alone, 'unplugged', 'disconnected' from the world is unacceptable behaviour. Thus, hours are wasted in front of the computer, and religion, which in its essence should 'reconnect', offers ways and means for the faithful to bow to this reality every day. This publication sheds light on these reflections and provokes thought on how these new relationships are constructed.
