Considered 'must reading' for mountaineers, The Epic of Mount Everest provides a fascinating insight into the men, methods, and struggles of early mountain-climbers. Included are 15 pages of illustrations and 2 maps. Sir Francis Edward Younghusband (1863-1942) was an officer in the British Army, as well as an explorer and author. He is most noted for his writings on Asia and foreign policy.
