This study examines the key challenges faced by Cambodian four-wheel EV users, based on qualitative interviews with 25 current and potential EV owners and a review of existing literature. The findings highlight five major challenges: (1) inadequate charging infrastructure, (2) high purchase and maintenance costs, (3) battery performance and longevity concerns, (4) environmental and infrastructure-related issues, and (5) a limited resale market. The research underscores the importance of government incentives, private investment, and strategic policy interventions to overcome these barriers and facilitate broader EV adoption in Cambodia.
