It is easy reading and is intended for persons who desire to know what AI is all about, and do not know very much about the subject to start with. It is one of many books on the subject of artificial intelligernce. This book cover’s the reader’s needs at a level assessable to readers of all ages and academic backgrounds. In fact, most examples of needed information can be located through the index at the end of the book. Many applications are referred to as 'weak AI to keep the authors happy. This book is up to date about AI> The best thing about this book is that you can open the book and start in any point and be able to clearly understand the subject matter. Do you have to be a scientist or a mathematician to understand AI? Absolutely not. This book only gives you what you should know in order to understand AI for the 'person on the street.' The book intended to help you understand what is going on in the real world. Artificial Intelligence is an extremely volatile subject. It is being adjusted daily, and it is almost impossible to figure out what is going on. That is the way the world operates, these days. This book is for everyone. One more thing. The appendix contains a copy of an interesting short chapter written by the author in 1988 on the state of AI. Things have changed, but not as much as people would imagine.
