Analiza Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) została wykorzystana jako popularna technika porównywania wydajności dwóch sparowanych danych testów diagnostycznych, podczas gdy obszar pod krzywą oznaczony jako AUC, który również reprezentuje prawdopodobieństwo, że wynik testu dla chorego podmiotu jest większy niż wynik testu dla podmiotu niechorującego, może być wykorzystany do podsumowania ogólnej aktywności między dwiema krzywymi ROC. Niniejsza praca miała na celu ocenę różnicy w AUC ciągłej dopasowanej pary danych, a także rozwiązanie problemu wymienności etykiet między dwoma testami diagnostycznymi w obrębie badanych, który charakteryzuje poprzednie badania. W pracy zaproponowano zmodyfikowany test Wilcoxona Signed-Rank (MWSRT) poprzez permutację między etykietami podmiotów w ramach każdego testu diagnostycznego i dostosowanie do możliwej obecności powiązanych wartości bezwzględnych różnic, a także zrównanie wynikowej statystyki testowej z różnicą w AUC.
