Questa tesi ha determinato la relazione tra le esportazioni e la crescita della produzione in Benin e ha analizzato il ruolo della diversificazione delle esportazioni sulla crescita economica del Benin. Ha dimostrato che la diversificazione delle esportazioni ha un effetto significativo sulla crescita economica. Quindi per ottenere questo risultato abbiamo utilizzato i dati, serie temporali annuali che coprono il periodo dal 1980 al 2019 su cui è stato effettuato il test di stazionarietà (ADF test). Successivamente abbiamo utilizzato il modello autoregressivo con ritardi distribuiti (ARDL) a seguito di un test di integrazione Co. Questo studio mostra che la diversificazione delle esportazioni è molto importante sia a breve che a lungo termine. Ma troviamo che la diversificazione delle esportazioni fornisce un contributo debole alla crescita economica del Benin. Ciò invita il governo del Benin a progettare e attuare strategie di sviluppo a lungo e breve termine e riforme istituzionali per favorire la diversificazione delle esportazioni che porteranno alla trasformazione economica. Abbiamo quindi suggerito alcuni passi in quella direzione.
