La Teoría de los sistemas de decisión presenta un conjunto de conceptos y de leyes que contribuyen a explicar los mecanismos cognitivos mediante los cuales los sistemas humanos valoran y evalúan para elegir entre distintas opciones de manifestación.Todos los comportamientos que llevan a cabo los sistemas humanos, individuales o colectivos, son producto de un proceso de decisión. Basándose en la Teoría de los sistemas mentales, esta obra introduce el concepto de sistema de decisión. El mismo es un programa mental por medio del cual los sistemas humanos determinan sus opciones de manifestación, restringidas o habilitadas por ciertos factores endógenos y exógenos, y seleccionan aquellas que consideran más valiosas, de acuerdo a su particular estructura de preferencias.Este modelo tiene la fi nalidad de explicar por qué se generan los múltiples y diversos tipos de comportamientos que pueden desarrollar los individuos y los sistemas sociales en ciertas circunstancias.En el transcurso de esta obra se explorarán las variables que intervienen en la gestación de las diferentes decisiones humanas dentro de un esquema conceptual de alta rigurosidad.
