La sécheresse constitue l’un des principaux facteurs limitant la productivité agricole au Maroc, particulièrement dans les zones arides et semi-arides. Cette étude, conduite dans le bassin versant du Tensift, analyse la variabilité spatio-temporelle de la sécheresse agrométéorologique et ses impacts sur la production céréalière. Une approche intégrée combinant télédétection, données hydrométéorologiques, et statistiques agricoles a été adoptée. L’analyse porte sur l’évaluation de la performance des indices de sécheresse, le développement d’un nouvel indice composite (CDMIa_RF) basé sur l’algorithme Random Forest, et l’examen des relations entre sécheresse et rendements céréaliers. Les résultats montrent une forte cohérence entre les indices ainsi que des corrélations significatives entre le CDMIa_RF et la productivité de l’orge, du blé tendre et du blé dur. Les fluctuations interannuelles de la sécheresse apparaissent étroitement liées aux mauvaises campagnes céréalières, aux variations du PIB agricole et aux importations de céréales.
