Technological changes are occurring and transforming rapidly, generating a significant demand for education that can meet the particular needs of a society, which is a problem for teachers. Teachers need to build the necessary skills to work in online education, for example: content mastery, mastery of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools and the virtual learning environment, and pedagogical mastery of the online education modality. Faced with these educational challenges in today’s world, such as distance learning, it is essential to investigate the pedagogical strategies that teachers have used in order to enhance the teaching-learning process. The relevance of this research is due to some essential factors regarding professional technical education in Brazil. According to Rehen (2009), there is a certain lack of pedagogical training for those who work in professional technical education, based on the false belief that it is enough to know how to do or know a certain profession or to master only the contents of the discipline in question.
