Tablighi Jamaat-A faith renewal movement, founded in the 1920s by Maulana Mohamad Ilyas in Mewat, India, has emerged today as the most prominent transnational religious movement throughout the Muslim world. This is primarily because of its unique ideology and organisational features like its apolitical nature, focusing on touring, travelling or patrolling, showing aversion to publicity and perceiving dawah (preaching or invitation towards Islam) as the fundamental obligation of each and every Muslim enjoined by Quran.
