I had 2 successful businesses in the 1990’s - a TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT COMPANY - Advanced Training and a Social Introduction Company in 2000 which was so successful it had its own TV Documentary - GOLD INTRODUCTIONS and was featured in many magazines and Radio Shows. I was famous, successful and I thought living the ’high life’ but when you read this book - I was truly misguided! Then, with the breakdown of my relationship and having to be declared ’bankrupt’ I moved to the North West of England to start all over again. I was living with my mother in London and had supported her through an illness, but she had a new relationship and engineered for me to leave one Friday morning on a train from London to Liverpool with only so much as a ’tea towel’ for my new home and a suitcase of clothes. I went from having ’it all’ or so I thought, to having nothing. I arrived to an empty flat in Liverpool, Anfield, in a drug invested area where later on I had to move as two prostitutes were murdered 3 doors along from me. The local people were the ’salt of the earth’ and even offered to fix my aerial for the TV. I had no furniture and no support and knew no one - though my brother and family lived 5 miles up the road. I needed a bed and the basics and went around the corner to a local Church second hand shop and with the little money I had I purchased a bed, wardrobe, sofa, fridge and more importantly a music centre. I then had that delivered that day, had no running water, electricity or gas and had to sort this out first. This was not possible the first night and I had to wait 3 days for basic supplies. I then went into the local town and bought linen, towels etc and thought it is not what I am used to from having 2 thriving businesses, and living in a Grade II listed Apartment overlooking the sea, but hey - I am alive and had someone that loves me who is my husband today and that is another story to be told.
