Gegenstand der Studie ist die Machbarkeit erneuerbarer Energien in der ländlichen Gemeinde Catique im Bezirk Gorongosa, Provinz Sofala, in der Region des Verwaltungspostens Vanduzi, einem Gebiet außerhalb des Gorongosa-Nationalparks (PNG). Einerseits geht es darum, ein System zur nachhaltigen und rentablen Stromerzeugung zu finden, das den Bedürfnissen der Gemeinde Catique gerecht wird. Zur Durchführung der Studie verwendete der Autor folgende methodische Instrumente: eine Literaturrecherche, eine Umfrage und eine Datenerhebung mit der Software meteonorms, Version 7.2, um klimatologische Daten für den Bezirk zu sammeln.Die Studie wurde in der Überzeugung durchgeführt, dass die erneuerbaren Energien die Funktion haben, die Gemeinde ohne Zugang zu Elektrizität in Richtung Nachhaltigkeit zu bewegen, indem sie den Bewohnern Zugang zu Elektrizität bieten.
