Il giacimento di South Pars / North Dome è un giacimento di condensato di gas naturale situato nel Golfo Persico. È il più grande giacimento di gas al mondo, condiviso tra Iran e Qatar. Questo giacimento, scoperto nel 1990, si trova a circa 100 km al largo delle coste iraniane nel Golfo Persico e si estende nel paese confinante, il Qatar, dove è noto come North Field. Il giacimento South Pars è ospitato dai carbonati del Permiano superiore 'Dalan' e del Triassico inferiore 'Kangan' e gli scisti scuri del Siluriano inferiore sono identificati come la principale roccia madre. Secondo l’Agenzia internazionale per l’energia (AIE), il giacimento contiene circa 1.800 trilioni di piedi cubi (51 trilioni di metri cubi) di gas naturale in situ e circa 50 miliardi di barili (7,9 miliardi di metri cubi) di condensati di gas naturale.
