Die Zahl der arbeitslosen jungen Hochschulabsolventen in Südafrika steigt. Dies ist auf eine Kombination verschiedener Faktoren zurückzuführen, darunter mangelnde Qualifikationen, fehlende Berufserfahrung, die Art der Qualifikation, ein geringes Angebot an Arbeitsplätzen und andere makroökonomische Faktoren. Verschiedene Interessengruppen haben Unternehmertum als mögliche Lösung für die Arbeitslosigkeit von Hochschulabsolventen vorgeschlagen. Dieses Buch basiert auf einer wissenschaftlichen Studie und untersucht die Machbarkeit von Unternehmertum als Ausweg aus der Arbeitslosigkeit für arbeitslose Hochschulabsolventen in Südafrika. Dazu untersucht es die Wahrnehmung junger Absolventen der Universität von KwaZulu-Natal, die in der Stadt Pietermaritzburg unternehmerisch tätig sind. Zwei wichtige Untersuchungsbereiche in diesem Buch sind die Herausforderungen, denen Absolventen in ihren verschiedenen Geschäftsvorhaben begegnen, sowie ihre Wahrnehmung der Wirksamkeit der unternehmerischen Ausbildung an der Universität.
