Elizabeth Kimble is a widowed mother of two young teens and a detective in the good old boy Tampa, Florida Police Department. Her collateral investigation to a previous case generates numerous, divergent, and dead end leads. The murders of several former street gang members represent extraneous chatter to her investigation, while a friend in the department uncovers evidence pointing to a bizarre twist. The two seek the aid of the new Assistant District Attorney. An attempt on her life tells the pair that they are close to solving the mystery of the multiple deaths and overarching conspiracy.
