Nadciśnienie tętnicze w ciąży jest obecnie jedną z trzech głównych przyczyn zgonów matek i często wiąże się z wysokim wskaźnikiem umieralności okołoporodowej. W związku z danymi epidemiologicznymi, badanie miało na celu analizę stanu klinicznego noworodków urodzonych przez kobiety w ciąży ze stanem przedrzucawkowym/rzucawkowym przyjęte do szpitala położniczego w gminie Fortaleza-Ceará. Jest to badanie ilościowe, opisowe i dokumentacyjne przeprowadzone w jednostce służby zdrowia, która działa jako szpital ogólny zapewniający humanizowaną opiekę trzeciego stopnia oraz opiekę nad matką i dzieckiem. Dane zostały zebrane z dokumentacji medycznej kobiet przyjmowanych na oddział z rozpoznaniem stanu przedrzucawkowego/rzucawki. Stwierdzono wysoki odsetek porodów chirurgicznych (84,4%) i przedwczesnych NB (37,4%). Średnia punktacja w skali Apgar w pierwszej minucie życia wynosiła 7,2, a w piątej minucie 8,4. Zaobserwowano znaczny odsetek noworodków z niską masą urodzeniową (40,5%). Stan kliniczny noworodków urodzonych przez kobiety ze stanem przedrzucawkowym/rzucawką był zagrożony.
