Niniejsza praca przedstawia charakterystykę mikrostrukturalną i ocenę właściwości mechanicznych stali o różnych mikrostrukturach dwufazowych, uzyskanych poprzez hartowanie stali ferrytyczno-perlitowej klasy LNE 500. Jej obszar międzykrytyczny i istniejące fazy, w zależności od temperatury, zostały określone za pomocą oprogramowania „THERMOCALC'. Na podstawie tych wyników próbki zostały hartowane w różnych temperaturach w celu uzyskania różnych frakcji objętościowych ferrytu i martenzytu. Charakterystykę mikrostrukturalną przeprowadzono za pomocą metalografii jakościowej i ilościowej. Właściwości mechaniczne zostały określone za pomocą badań twardości, udarności i rozciągania jednoosiowego, które dostarczyły parametrów takich jak naprężenie płynięcia, granica wytrzymałości na rozciąganie oraz całkowite i równomierne wydłużenie, a także wykładnik utwardzenia i współczynnik wytrzymałości stali poddanej obróbce. Wyniki wykazały, że obróbka cieplna hartowania spowodowała powstanie różnych mikrostruktur. Większa obecność fazy martenzytycznej przyczynia się do poprawy właściwości mechanicznych stali hartowanej, takich jak twardość, energia pochłaniana przez uderzenie i wytrzymałość mechaniczna bez utraty plastyczności.
