Dazu untersucht sie in vier Pflegeeinrichtungen mit unterschiedlichem religiösem und weltanschaulichem Hintergrund die subjektiven Spiritualitätskonstruktionen und beschreibt, dass diese unabhängig von der Religionszugehörigkeit sind. Unterschiede ergeben sich nicht in erster Linie von der Personenstruktur, sondern insbesondere durch die Rolle und den jeweiligen Handlungsspielraum in der Organisation.
