The book was based on the adult life and experiences of real people, yet turned into science fiction. The names have been changed to protect the innocent.The story begins as Dane discovers illegal activity taking place and decides to investigate and put a stop to it. After some serious experiences, he succeeds and moves on to work back home in Fort Adams. Dane gets married. They struggle and grow together, eventually having a daughter, whom they affectionately call Molochai. The story takes twist as Dane finds that his wife Dee had been given a mission of her own. He is surprised to find that she is an alien from another part of the universe, and that he is destined to provide her with a way home. When they return to Earth, his future takes an unexpected turn as he comes into contact with the Sound of Truth and he finds himself 'Going Home.'
