In der empirisch angelegten Arbeit stehen das leitfadengestützte ExpertInnen-Interview und die inhaltlich strukturierende qualitative Inhaltsanalyse im Mittelpunkt. Die Autorin erarbeitet die Rahmenbedingungen von kultureller Bildung als Spannungsfelder der Sommerakademie und die Charakteristika der Veranstaltungsform. Sie rückt darüber hinaus das Selbstverständnis der Befragten als professionelle KunstvermittlerInnen und deren Aufgabenverständnis sowie ausgemachte Perspektiven für KünstlerInnen in Sommerakademien ins Blickfeld.
