Sombras de la centralización del autor José Vilar, es un trabajo fotográfico documental, realizado durante el 2012 y 2013.. Sombras de la centralización muestra un paralelismo entre zonas rurales abandonadas, viéndose imágenes de caseríos o taperas abandonadas, y de la indigencia en las ciudades, mostrando imágenes de personas en condición de indigencia, así se muestra la centralización de la sociedad, se aborda el tema de la centralización ya que el mismo es un tema global y concreto, las imágenes están acompañadas por textos que muestran datos los cuales marcan esta tendencia de forma clara, y expresan motivos por los cuales se genera, siendo estos de tono principalmente estadístico, los mismos muestran la centralización producida en Uruguay, y ponen a este país como ejemplo para mostrar el avance de la centralización en un país en desarrollo.
