Other notable works by this author include: 'The Birds of Middlesex' (1866), 'Rambles in Search of Shells' (1876), and 'Ostriches and Ostrich Farming' (1877). Many vintage books such as this are increasingly scarce and expensive. It is with this in mind that we are republishing this volume now complete with a specially-commissioned new biography of the author.
