O conflito chegou a tal ponto que os habitantes locais sentiram a necessidade de matar o tigre por retaliação, uma vez que sofreram baixas e ferimentos humanos. Por conseguinte, este estudo foi realizado com a intenção de explorar o conflito entre humanos e tigres, os seus casos, causas, medidas aplicadas e a situação da distribuição da população de tigres, bem como a perceção das pessoas em relação ao tigre. Esta investigação dá uma opinião sobre as percepções de conservação do tigre e o nível de tolerância dos habitantes locais às perdas humanas, bem como sobre o papel das partes interessadas na conservação do tigre.
