A Internet das Coisas (IoT) visa ligar objectos físicos para monitorização remota através da Internet. Dada a natureza contagiosa da COVID-19, a deteção e a prevenção eficazes são essenciais. O nosso trabalho apresenta um sistema baseado na IoT para impedir que indivíduos com suspeita de COVID-19 acedam a uma instalação. O sistema mede a temperatura corporal e verifica o uso de máscara. Se for detectada uma temperatura elevada ou a falta de uma máscara, a entrada é bloqueada e é enviada uma notificação por correio eletrónico. Este sistema autónomo minimiza a supervisão humana, é económico e facilmente implementável em vários contextos. Ao integrar a medição da temperatura e a deteção de máscaras, oferece uma solução robusta para evitar a propagação da COVID-19, garantindo a saúde e a segurança públicas.
