Resume screening is the process of reviewing job applicants’ resumes to determine if they are qualified for a specific position. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) are increasingly being used to automate this process and make it more efficient. The analysis has used AI and ML extensively for extracting meaningful information from resume. AI and NLP are used in resume screening through the use of keyword matching. This involves using algorithms to scan resumes for specific keywords that are relevant to the job being applied for. This helps to quickly identify candidates who have the necessary skills and qualifications for the position. The other aspect is to use AI and NLP in resume screening through the use of sentiment analysis. This involves using algorithms to analyze the language used in resumes to determine the overall tone and sentiment of the document. It’s to be highlighted that while AI and NLP have certainly helps to make the resume screening process much more efficient, it’s still important to have human review and continue to train the model for continuous improvements in the final decision. So, AI and NLP can be used in various ways to automate the resume screening process, like keyword matching, sentiment analysis, and cultural fit analysis. However, it’s important to have human review and consideration for any potential bias in the algorithm.
