Różnorodność kulturowa jest obecna w różnych obszarach społeczeństwa brazylijskiego, zwłaszcza w szkole, gdzie różnice społeczne, etniczne i rasowe są najbardziej widoczne. Kwestie te wymagają odpowiedniego wsparcia pedagogicznego w szkolnym programie nauczania. Opierając się na tym założeniu, niniejsza praca miała na celu refleksję i omówienie kultur afro-brazylijskich i afrykańskich, które są włączone jako obowiązkowe treści do programu nauczania w edukacji podstawowej na mocy ustawy 10.639/03. Można jednak zauważyć, że prawo to nie zostało jeszcze konkretnie wdrożone do programów nauczania zgodnie z wymogami. Szkoła jest właściwym miejscem do debaty i refleksji nad ponownym określeniem etniczno-rasowych i kulturowych stosunków społecznych w ramach programu nauczania, a także do rozwijania praktyk zdrowego współistnienia, wzajemnego szacunku, solidarności i kultury pokoju. W związku z tym refleksja i debata na temat różnorodności etniczno-rasowej w ramach programu szkolnego w pewien sposób umożliwia ponowne określenie tożsamości, samooceny i poczucia własnej wartości, prestiżu społecznego i historycznego czarnych (czarnych i / lub brązowych) uczniów w tym kraju.
