Há muitos anos que me dedico ao rosto humano no meu trabalho artístico. Às vezes, utilizava fotografias, outras vezes, alguém posava para mim para pendurar a imagem em casa ou para oferecer a alguém. Por vezes, utilizava o rosto de uma amiga como inspiração para um tema em que estava a trabalhar. Quando comecei a pintar pacientes num contexto de terapia artística, questionei-me sobre como o processo de retratar poderia influenciar a relação entre terapeuta e paciente e quando este método poderia ser problemático.
