Não foram efectuados muitos trabalhos sobre a retificação do Inconel 718. Este relatório também destaca a utilização de um novo sistema de distribuição de fluido de retificação, utilizando uma disposição económica de tubos salinos. A água com sabão e o dióxido de carbono líquido são utilizados como fluidos de retificação/refrigerantes. Os resultados apontam para a eficácia da utilização de uma combinação de dióxido de carbono líquido e de água com sabão, distribuída como um jato na zona de retificação.
