A Responsabilidade Social Empresarial é uma construção que reflete a inserção social sistêmica das empresas, sempre sujeitas às normas formais e informais em constante transformação na sociedade. Por essa razão, o debate sobre esta temática configura uma arena importante para o confronto político de interesses. Partindo de uma análise crítica à luz da Psicologia Social se faz importante entender o processo histórico, principalmente no Brasil, que fez com que o tema da Responsabilidade Social assumisse relevância, bem como o cenário atual no qual ela está inserida, o público-alvo principal dessas ações e o discurso empresarial analisado acerca da imagem divulgada pela própria empresa. Para tanto, utilizou-se do estudo de caso a fim de aprofundar como o discurso empresarial se relaciona às categorias trabalho e educação, já que a maioria dos projetos existentes está voltada a questão da formação para o trabalho. É possível identificar a relação claramente estabelecida entre trabalho e educação como forma de adestramento, a exclusão abordada de maneira naturalizada e as parcerias entre empresa, Estado e Sociedade Civil como uma solução aos problemas sociais.
