Es wird das H.A.P.-Modell (High Adaptive Project) vorgestellt, dass auf der Basis der eingeführten Konzepte eine Orientierung bietet, um Projekte widerstandsfähiger und gleichzeitig flexibler für störende Einflüsse zu machen. Das Modell wird validiert durch Interviews mit Projektmanagern, Geschäftsführern, Bereichsleitern (u. a. von IBM, Bosch Automotive, Deutsche Telekom, Cassidian, Open Grid Europe), die ihre Erfahrungen hochkomplexer dynamischer Projekte vorstellen und ihre Erfolgsgeheimnisse im Umgang mit Turbulenzen und Krisen verraten. Am Ende des Buches wird ein Fazit des Gelernten gezogen mit einem praktischen Übertrag in das tägliche Projektmanagement. Für den Leser steht im Buch ein Selbsttest zur Bestimmung der Adaptivität seines aktuellen Projektes zur Verfügung.​
